Plain-language version: we collect only what we need to run your account and ship your orders, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

We keep things lean. Depending on how you use SaveOnPet, we may hold:

  • Account details — your email, name, and (for password accounts) a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we store the basic profile Google shares.
  • Order information — what you bought, where it shipped, and the status of delivery.
  • Messages you send us — anything you submit through the contact form so we can help you.
  • Basic technical data — the kind of device and browser you use, to keep the site working and secure.

How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
  • To process, ship, and support your orders.
  • To reply to your questions and resolve issues.
  • To send order updates and — only if you opt in — occasional deals and pet content.

How we protect your account

Passwords are never stored in plain text — they're salted and hashed before they touch our database. Sign-in sessions use a random, server-side token kept in a secure, httpOnly cookie, so your credentials are never exposed to scripts in your browser. We use the Netlify platform's managed infrastructure, with traffic encrypted in transit.

What we never do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
  • We don't share your data with advertisers for cross-site tracking.
  • We don't keep payment card numbers — those are handled by our payment processor.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are essential to the site: one to remember your sign-in session and one to keep your shopping cart. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

Your choices

  • Access or correct the information on your account by signing in, or by asking us.
  • Delete your account and associated data at any time — just contact us.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message; you'll still get essential order updates.
